Amy graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Clinical Professional Counseling program in 2021. She has been fully licensed as an LADC/MH since September of 2023.

Amy has experience working with the high risk/high need justice involved community and is now bringing those skills and experience to Slate Recovery. She also recently attained her certification as an Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist.

Amy is excited to engage with clients and to provide IOP services to the community.

Resilient grieving therapy is a strengths-based, active approach to loss that focuses on adapting to life after a death. It emphasizes emotional flexibility, allowing for the coexistence of deep pain and moments of joy, helping individuals honor their loss while finding ways to continue living and functioning.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, goal-oriented therapy style designed to strengthen a person’s intrinsic motivation for change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. It focuses on accepting, evoking, and collaborating with the client to identify their own reasons for change, rather than imposing directives.
